President’s Diversity Scholarship
Scholarships are open to any local,
high achieving students, demonstrating
financial need regardless of race, ethnicity,
religion, gender, sexual orientation,
disability, or national origin who meet
the criteria.

Eligibility Requirements:
• A minimum 3.00 grade point average in all college preparation
courses is required for award eligibility.
• Must be admitted as a first time freshman fall 2009 and
enroll in a minimum of 12 semester units at San Diego State
University. (You may apply for the scholarship before you are
admitted).
• High school graduate from San Diego and Imperial County
service area schools.
• Recipients must remain in good academic standing
for renewal.
• Must submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid
(FAFSA) by March 2, 2009.
• Demonstrate financial need as determined by the office of
Financial Aid.

Application Requirements:
• The President’s Diversity Scholarship requires the submission
of an online application and additional application materials
such as transcript, letters of recommendation, federal tax
returns.

Scholarship Includes:
• Up to 10 Annual scholarship of $3,750 will be awarded.
• Award may be renewed up to 3 additional years.
• New Student and Family Orientation.
• Intent to Enroll deposit deferred.
• Annual meeting with President Stephen L. Weber.
• President’s Diversity Scholarship Mentor.
• Two guest tickets to the President’s Diversity Scholarship
Welcome Reception on March 28, 2009.
• Two guest tickets to the 5th Annual President’s Diversity
Scholarship Awards on April 23, 2009.
