Counselor Notes: School Bus Passes

$172 school bus passes can be purchased online

CHULA VISTA: Parents of middle and high schoolers in South County can now purchase school bus passes online. The address is:

***suhsd.k12.ca.us/transportation/onlinebuspass.htm.

Sweetwater Union High School District charges $172 for a yearlong two-way bus pass.

The online purchase program has three steps. *First, it allows parents to determine whether there is a route near their home. **If a route is available, parents submit their child's name, identification number and photo. ***Finally, parents can pay with a credit card or an electronic check.

Students receive their bus passes in approximately "four weeks". If school is in session when the pass is issued, the pass is sent to the student's school.
