***Principles of Engineering

Course Description

This course provides entry level training to help students understand the field of engineering and engineering technology.
Exploring various technology systems and manufacturing processes help students learn how engineers and technicians use math, science and technology in an engineering problem solving process to benefit people.
The course also includes concerns about social and political consequences of technological change


***Introduction to Engineering Design (IED)

Course Description

Students will learn the design process that take place to develop a product. This will include identifying the problem, brainstorming possible solutions, selecting the best appropriate approach, developing construction documents and creating a prototype.
This course allows students to use sophisticated three-dimensional modeling software to improve existing products, invent new ones, and communicate the details of the products to others.
The course also includes concerns about social and political consequences of technological change.

These are 1st period and 2nd period classes.
