SCHOOL WISDOM OF THE DAY: When new material is presented ion math, try to associate it with more familiar work you already know. (Radford)

STUDENTS: There will be a Pep Club and Hooligan meeting this Thursday at lunch in the gym. This is a very important meeting we will make plans for this Friday’s Football @ Sweetwater and get important information dealing with next weeks Pep Assembly. GOL LANCERS!!! (Salts)

ATTENTION CSF SENIORS: We will be having our first official CSF meeting for all CSF qualified seniors this Friday, September 18th during lunch in Room 1459. We will be voting for senior officers and discussing our plans for this school year. Hope to see you all there! (Yamada)

COMPACT FIELDTRIP: The names of the students who will be attending the Compact Fieldtrip to SDSU on September 23rd, is posted outside of the counseling center. Please make sure to look for your name during nutrition break or lunch. On the day of the fieldtrip, you will receive a pass during period 1. This will be your ticket to board the bus. Make sure you bring your ID card and report to the cafeteria at 8:45 a.m. (Yamada)

STUDENTS: We are starting a new trend at Hilltop-College Day Thursdays! Wear your favorite college t-shirt/sweatshirt on every Thursday. (Distefano)

“ATTENTION ALL LANCERS: The African American Student union is still looking for members to join! All students are welcome, regardless of race, to join a fun club that gives back to the community and holds fundraisers. Come see what the club is all about during our meeting at lunch tomorrow, Thursday, September, 17th, in Room 1402. If you have any questions, see Ms. Scott.”

PLC TIDBIT OF THE DAY: We are convinced that the most common cause of the demise of PLC initiatives is not the result of a single cataclysmic event, but rather repeated compromises regarding the fundamental premises of PLCs. There is no one fatal blow: PLCs die from a thousand small wound. (Radford)

NEW PRINTER: Teachers, Steve Fenn has posted the directions for you to access the new printer located in the Faculty Lounge Room 309 on HTH FYI ALL. The library printer will not be fixed and a new one will need to be purchased so connect to the new printer ASAP. The good news is that you have access to Room 309 before and after school, and at times when the library may be closed. If you have any problems, please contact Steve. (Ms. R.)

ATTENTION US HISTORY TEACHERS: Counselor presentations that will take place in your classrooms on Monday, October 19th. A copy of this schedule was sent to your e-mail and was also placed in your teacher box. We wanted to give you the schedule early for your planning purposes. Counselors will be doing presentations that should take the entire duration of the period. The Students will be receiving pertinent information on credit recovery, graduation and college requirements, and much more.
