SENIORS: Sign Up for the Senior-staff dodge ball game in the ASB before the end of lunch on Monday, November 2nd. The cost is $5.00 for your shirt and you must have at least a 2.0 GPA with no Saturday Schools. The teachers are scheduled to defeat you on Wednesday, November 4th after school. Don’t miss it! JUNIORS AND SENIORS OF ASIAN PACIFIC DESCENT: Great opportunity. There is a conference in March in Sacramento that is fully paid for. The conference offers group workshops on leadership development, cultural identity and awareness, the legislative process, and public speaking. SENIORS: The Elks National Foundation Scholarship is due by Friday morning to Ms. Gerlack. This is a great scholarship. Don’t miss out on this one. (Gerlack)
SENIORS: The Hispanic Heritage Foundation offers a $1000 scholarship with a grand prize of $10,000. It is a short essay on “How do you think education can impact the Heritage of Hispanic generations to come?” Due November 30th. (Gerlack)
SENIORS: The Gates Millennium Scholarship is in and it is a must. If you receive this one, you get a full ride for at least 4 years to the college that you applied and are accepted to. Must have a minimum GPA of 3.3. Must have financial need and must be of minority descent. The application is in the Counseling Center or go on line at www.gmsp.org (Gerlack)
STUDENTS: College bound seniors must apply to CSU’s & UC’s during October and November. During these months, we will proudly announce some of Hilltop’s finest college graduates! Today’s “Staff Spotlight” is Carol Baer. Ms. Baer attended San Diego State. In order to be successful in college, Ms. Baer advises students to learn good study habits now, always attend classes, and keep studying throughout the semester. Her most memorable experience from college was that she was the first person in her family to earn a college degree. (Di Stefano)

ATTENTION ALL PEP CLUB AND HOOLIGANS: we will start having weekly meetings at Lunch in the Gymnasium on Thursdays.
