FACULTY
PLC TIDBIT OF THE DAY: Every action and change in the world occurs within a network of feedback loops. Understanding feedback loops is essential to understanding and managing change. Among other things, thinking in terms of feedback loops helps you anticipate unintended consequences a proposed change. For example, suppose a school considered a simple change in its lunchroom policy. They would have to think carefully to make sure that the change wouldn’t cause students to opt out of the hot lunch program, because having fewer students participating could lead to budget problems, recess problems, and perhaps even health issues for the students.
