Counseling Notes: PSAT Score Report Workshop |
|
Thu Jan 21st, 2010 - 9:09 AM (PST)
Posted by: Mike Kaine, Counselor
For 10th Grade Parents and Students.
Last Fall SUHSD administered the PSAT exam to all 10th Graders. The PSAT is a practice exam geared to expose students to the SAT college admittance test. Through the Score Report students can gain understanding of their strengths and areas of growth in terms of college proficiency. Students also have the opportunity to establish individual MY ROAD Accounts which provide students with the opportunity to:
*analyze their individual reports;
*improve performance through skill building
activities;
*take inventories in career and / or college exploration;
*develop a personal e-portfolio available through graduation.
Please try to attend and learn about these useful tools.
Hosted by:
Eastlake High School - Wednesday January 27, 2010 from 6:00 PM til 7:30 PM in their Drama Building.

To drop an AP Class in the future the Counselors have a NEW FORM that must be filled out.
There are timelines associated with this form. Failure to abide by the timelines will result in you not being able to DROP your AP class.
This new form involves all the people involved in the class: the student,YOUR PARENTS, the Teacher, the Counselor, and an Assistant Principal.
Just because you submit this form does not mean it will automatically be approved. So be vigilant in picking out your classes.
Thank you---The Counselors

We thank you for patience while we are calling students out and balancing classes. This is an on going process for many days at the beginning of each school year.
Things will soon emerge with a finite ending and once again all will seem normal.
Thank you,
Counselors
