Technology

To complete research projects and other assignments, students now have a total of 22 lime-flavored iMac computers to use in the library media center.  Computers are connected to the Internet and loaded with Microsoft Office 98 for word processing, spreadsheet, and PowerPoint as well as a graphing calculator program, Acrobat Reader, and AppleWorks.  Students may use library printers for research projects and to produce printouts for assignments.

AB 862

The state of California legislature has enacted Assembly Bill 862 to improve public school libraries. The Hilltop High Collection Development, Technology, and Services to Maximize Student Achievement 1998-2001 Action Planoutlines our needs and details the use of these funds.  Over 800 books have already been added to the collection at Hilltop High.  If you have suggestions for new books appropriate for the collection, turn in your list to the library staff.
